The grey area under your Chart is divided into tabbed folders for different functions, as described below. Remember to do mouse-overs on these folder tabs, and on the various buttons, to learn about them. Experiment. You can't hurt this thing.

The information shown within the Modify Tab can be edited directly to modify your Chart, including adding Tasks and milestones. When you are ready to try a modification, press the button. Your changes will be reflected both in this set of Main Data, and then in your Chart. If you want to Undo your changes, press the button.
The button converts your Task Numbers into sequential integers. This can be useful if you have used numbers with decimal points to insert Tasks, and then want to convert to integers. Use the button to reverse your changes.
If you should make some changes to your Task data, and simply want to Cancel these changes, press the button. This will retrieve the data which was used to create your Chart.

The other Tabs work similarly to the Modify Tab. We believe you will find them relatively easy to learn to use. Remember to experiment and to use mouse-overs to anticipate functionality. Learning to use the Help-U-Plan Workspace is free.

Workspace Glossary
Task Number --> An identifier for the task or milestone. These appear in ascending order in your graphic (on the left).
Name --> A description; whatever you want to enter (can include numbers, dollars, dates, etc.).
Duration --> Periods of time (hours, years, etc.) this task will consume (duration = 0 indicates a milestone).
Start --> The time period this task is to start. Must be given for the first task; otherwise optional.
Predecessor --> Number of task which current task depends on. Must be given if no start time is given.
Lag/Lead --> An offset from the Task's default beginning location. The offset is a number representing a percentage of a Time Period. If the number is positive, the offset is considered to be a Lag; if negative, it is a Lead.
