Instructions:

A Gantt Chart such as is shown above, can be a good way to represent important historic timelines, like the U.S. presidents timeline. The format of the Gantt Chart omits detail which could interfere with being able to remember the correct sequence of presidents, and the possible inter-relationships of events. This simple visual chart can also emphasize specific items which might otherwise get missed (such as shortened terms of office - was the president assassinated? or recalled?).
This is an example of a type of 'data mining', illustrating that we can miss important questions by becoming involved in understanding and remembering the details. The other side of that, of course, is that 'the devil is in the details'. Think how much important information is left out in the above U.S. presidents timeline.
